Died in Roxbury 27 September 1683 (from inventory).(According to the church records, he was buried on 20 September 1683. One of these dates must be wrong.)
Married in Roxbury 30 November 1639 Phebe Hewes. She died at Roxbury on 28 February 1678/9 "of the pox." (Phebe Hewes was the sister of JOSHUA HEWES {1633, Roxbury} and of Elizabeth Hewes, wife of RALPH HEMINGWAY {1633, Roxbury}. It has been suggested that Anne, the wife of Lewis Jones, was also a sister. Joshua Foote, who died in Providence in 1655, was maternal uncle of Phebe Hewes.
