Lou Ann Guynn, daughter of Rufus and Nancy Guynn, was born near Roubidoux, Mo., on October 12, 1878, and died at the family home July 24, 1957, at the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 12 days.

Aunt Lou, as she was familiarly known, was a great favorite of her friends and neighbors. She was especially fond of children, and her greatest desire was to see children grow to useful womanhood and manhood, and she devoted much of her life to helping rear orphaned children.

Three of the children who survive her are: Mrs. Fanny Pointer of the home; Mrs. Nora Collins of Bendavis and Mrs. Margaret Bailey of Kansas City, Mo.

Other survivors are four half-sisters: Mrs. Letha Harrison, Mrs. Myrtle Sartin, Mrs. Della Painter and Mrs. Della Cagles, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; two half brothers, Adron Guynn, Plato, and Ralph Guynn of Columbia, Mo., and other relatives.

Aunt Lou was a firm believer in her Saviour and on April 25, 1955, she was baptized and united with the Hickory Ridge Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, July 29, at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. J. R. Bogart. Burial was in the church cemetery, directed by of Elliott's of Houston.
