BRIDGEWATER — Mrs. Icie Virginia Webster Atkins, 77, of Bridgewater died Friday night at Rockingham Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient one week.
She was born Aug. 28, 1897 in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Elizabeth Fultz Webster.
Mrs. Atkins was a member of the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren.
In 1916 she married Curtis W. Atkins who died in 1966.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nadine Fillinger of Gainesville and Mrs. Marguerite Speas of Bridgewater, three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Roger Sappington. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Bridgewater.
The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the W. L. Rosenberger Funeral Home in Bridgewater.
