Anton Hoffman was born at Hochberg, Bavaria, Feb. 2, 1830, he was 78 years, 3 months and 13 days old at his death.
He emigrated to America in 1850 and was married to Katherine Ploederl at Chicago, Ill. in 1856.
In 1880 he joined his son John in the Templeton, Iowa area. They built a new home near Templeton, where son Anton resided.
Besides John and Anton, there survives a son, Peter Hoffman, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. John Hoffman, and children of Roselle.
