Grover loved attending baseball games and coaching softball. He retired as a security guard after many years of service with S&C Security and Service Master.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn H. Johnson, three daughters Anita Johnson, Sheila Dudley and Felicia Johnson; two sons Grover F. Johnson Jr., and Stevie L. Johnson; all of Charlottesville, Va.; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and of host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, January 23, 2009 in the Chapel of J.F. Bell Funeral Home with the Rev. Robin Wayne officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
