Kathleen M. Plank, 100, Greenwood, Altoona, died Sunday at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of William B. and Effie (Lingenfelter) Knisely. She married Clifford E. Plank April 30, 1929, in Westminster, MD and he died Dec. 2, 1970. Surviving are a son, David C. Plank of Altoona; five grandchildren: Clifford E. Plank, Tina G. Plank, David C. Plank Jr., Shelly M. Wolf and Shane A. Plank, all of Altoona; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Harry, Merrit and Ira Knisely; two sisters: Rose Roudabush and Edith Weston; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley J. (Runk) Plank. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altoona. Mrs. Plank had been employed at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg from 1955-57 and retired from Brown Bros. Potato Chips in 1973 after 17 years of service. She then helped in the preparation of meals for Jaffa Shrine Center events for 10 years. She was a 1925 graduate of Claysburg High School. Mrs. Plank enjoyed bingo, bus tours, gardening and yard work, and she enjoyed visiting friends and all her relatives. She was a member of Greenwood Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Good Funeral Home, Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the funeral home. Interment, Alto-Reste Park.
