Mr. Stewart was born June 13, 1930, in Mount Vernon and raised in Mitchell. He served in the Army in the Korean War. He was a construction engineer for Lloyd Corporation. He moved to Molalla in 1979. In 1964, he married Joyce Daniels Rose.
