A veteran of World War II, Mr. Dowell was a retired farmer from Maple Leaf Farms of Milford and a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge #33.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, David Lee Dowell of Amboy, Victor Gene Dowell of Rt. 4, Peru, and Erman Jr. of Logansport; a daughter, Patricia Mae Van Cleef of Hobard; three brothers, William Dowell and Robert Dowell, both of Lafayette, and Paul Dowell of Remington; a sister, Lois (Mrs. Wayne) Cooper of rural Goodland; and 12 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM Thursday, Feb. 3, at Fisher Funeral Home, Logansport. Rites are pending.
