William T.(Bill) Black, age 82 of Bill Black Road, Cartersville, died Friday evening, February 23, 1990.
He was born July 18, 1907 in Bartow County a son of the late William David & Louella Jenkins Black, was retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and a member of the White UMC. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Mac Black [I.D.# 36186348]and his first wife Ida Lou McIntyre Black [I.D.# 36186357].
Surviving are his widow, Della Gramling Black, White; two sons, the Rev. Dane Black, Cartersville; Wendell Black, Howell, New Jersey; two stepsons, Bobby Lowery, White; Wayne Lowery, Pinelog; two stepdaughters, Ruth Mullinax, Clayton; Edna Tucker, White; five grandchildren; David, Byron, Mike & Pam Black, & Sue Black Campbell, three great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a number of step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2pm from the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Fuller & S.A. King officiating. Internment followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
Owen funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
