OBITUARY :
JOSEPHINE L. SHOCKEY, 70, of Vienna, WV, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV.

She was born in Ellenboro, Ritchie County, WV, a daughter of the late Leroy and Estella Conwell Moore. She was a 1944 graduate of Parkersburg High School, and retired after 28 years as a medical assistant and secretary. She was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ, Vienna. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.

Surviving are a son; Greg Shockey of Washington, WV; a daughter, Pamela A. Patterson of Harpers Ferry, WV; a sister, Glada Tyson of Centerville, VA; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Carl E. Shockey; two brothers, Glen Moore and Blaine Moore; and two sisters, Gladys Sheets and Geraldine Pratt.

Services were held at the 36th Street Church of Christ with Tom Butterfield and Mark Mason officiating. Burial followed in Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.

Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, was in charge of arrangements.
