Oscar F. Edds, 69, of Port Austin died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at his home. He was born on June 28, 1930, in Rose Hill, Va., son of the late Vernon and Elizabeth (Campbell) Edds. He and Dorothy (Chesney) were married on Oct. 27, 1951, in Livonia. Mr. Edds
was a loving husband to Dorothy and a devoted father to his four children, David Edds and his wife, Lynda, of Allen Park, Mary Hargis of Hendersonville, Tenn., Gary Edds and his wife, Terry, of Hamburg, and Jennifer Krull and her husband, Karl, of Port Austin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday June 9, 2000, at Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde. The Rev. Mike Goforth, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Caseville, will officiate. Burial will be in the Port Austin Township Cemetery. Visitation will take place 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
