On March 28, 1953, Albert was wed to Arlene A. Cox. To that union of over 53 years there were born four children, Michael, Edward, and Katherine. In September 1953 Albert drafted into the United States Army. He served two years which included one year in Germany where he drove an ammunitions truck. After his honorable discharge Albert and his family lived in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington where Albert worked as a cement mason.
In 1975 Albert and his family moved to Kennewick, Washington. He worked at the Hanford site and in Hawaii as a concrete a concrete foreman until his retirement. After retiring, Albert bought property and set up manufactured homes in Irrigon, Oregon. A section of Irrigon, Oregon, is officially named 'Lewis Addition'. Albert very much enjoyed his annual rafting trips on the Grande Ronde for the Past 28 years with many friends as well as fishing and camping.
Albert is survived by his four children, Michael and (Marcella) Lewis of Graham, Wa; Edward Lewis of Federal Way, Wash; Rich and (Susan)of Kennewick Wash; and Katherine McQuown of Grand Coulee,Wash. Ther are 7 grandaughters, 2 grandsons and 8 great-granchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends in Irrigon, Oregon.
