Mary Jacqueline "Jackie" Harrison, 80, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Harrison was born Jan. 25, 1929 in Poplar Bluff, and was a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School class of 1946. The daughter of the late H.C. and Alma (Worley) Harrison.

Ms. Harrison was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Phebean Sunday School Class. She was employed with State Bank for a number of years, and later attended Union University in Jackson, Tenn. Ms. Harrison retired in 1994 after 34 years as a secretary with Southern Missouri Saving and Loan. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, Butler County Genealogical Society and Poplar Bluff Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution. Ms. Harrison enjoyed reading and traveling.

In 1953 she was married to Harold Ash.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with Dr. William Vail officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
