Gary Allen Wickliffe, 71, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, April 10, 2009, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Wickliffe was born Feb 5, 1938 in Sedalia. He was the son of the late Medford Eugene and Mary Louise (Arnold) Wickliffe.
He was retired as an inspector for the Ozark Regional Planning Commission. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR sports. Mr. Wickliffe was a member of Hopewell Masonic Lodge 239 in Lesterville.
On May 3, 1958, he married Thelma Cureton at Sedalia. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Allen Eugene Wickliffe and wife, Susan, of Union and Jeffery Scott Wickliffe and wife, Cari, of Fenton; and four grandchildren, Scott Jeffery Wickliffe of Fenton, Joshua Callahan Davis of Potosi, Shane Michael Davis of Dexter and Miranda Skyler Davis of Union.
Mr. Wickliffe was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Shelley.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Ward officiating.
