Eva Ruth HOLLOWAY, 87, formerly of Rt. 6, Rochester, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Plymouth Parkview Hospital. She had been a patient since Monday, had lived with her daughter the past year, and has been in failing health for three years. She was born in Fulton County Nov. 16, 1894 to Samuel and Emellivina KIMBLE BEGHTEL. She lived most of her life in this community. She married Elven E. HOLLOWAY in Fulton County on Jan. 28, 1914; he died May 14, 1977. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Wanda) CHALK and Mrs. Fred (Rosemary) McCLOTHIN, both of Rochester; five sons, Walter, Howard, Lester, Marvin and Bernie [HOLLOWAY], all of Rochester; thirty-four grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Gladys SHAUM, Elkhart. A son, Russell [HOLLOWAY], died Feb. 13, 1979; two brothers and a sister also preceded in death. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam CARLTON and Bishop William TINCHER officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester Citizens Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the service.
