She was a daughter, and 2nd child born to Mose James Fox and Lillie Dovie (Fox) Fox. She married 1st-Orval "Ray" Katcham, who was a son of James Campbell Katcham and Ethel Loretta (Rogers) Katcham. She lived with 2nd- Edward Henry Barba, who is a son of Gaetano Anton Thomas Barba and Mary "Fanny" (Altomoute) Barba. Although Verna & Ed Barba never married they lived together as husband and wife until Verna's death.
