FARIBAULT DAILY NEWS JAN 5, 1953 DUNDAS (SPECIAL) Funeral services for Eugene Freeman, who was killed in an auto accident Friday Dec 26 in California, were held at Vallejo, Calif. Eugene, who had been in naval services for a number years, had been on shore duty there since last summer. He was returning from work alone in his car when the accident happened. He is survived by his wife Pauline Barker (Billie) and a step-daughter Ruth, his mother Mrs Nada Freeman of Dundas; six brothers, Sam of Farmington, Lyle of Northfield, Morris of Walker, Stanley of Dundas, Winston of Barksdale Field,LA and Keith of Belvoire, VA; two sisters, Mrs Edward Stanley (Leona) of Oakland, Calif and Mrs Frank Jankowski (Shirley) of Northfield, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Frank Freeman left Saturday Dec 27 for Vallejo, where funeral services were held and interment took place. Eugene was born in Dundas Oct 23, 1921 and attended local schools. He also entered naval service from here.
