For Julia A. Bradbury's memorial. She was born c1816 Julia Ann Merriss to Ellery and Abigail (Bromley) Merris in Franklin Co., Ohio. After her father's death, she joined her brothers in Morgan Co. IL and Nov. 3, 1836 she married Samuel Bradbury. Their children were James Marion Bradbury, Stanton Merris Bradbury, Charles Monroe Bradbury, and Daniel Albert Bradbury. There was also another son, Oliver Thomas, who did not survive to adulthood.
Per a family diary, Julia Ann was buried in Gothic City, Colorado and an article from the Saguache Chronicle newspaper that she was the first to be buried at the Gothic City Cemetery but I have been unable to locate a cemetery there. Not sure when she was moved to Canon City, possibly Oct. 1882 as found an article from the Sierra Journal in Rosita, Colorado that she was buried at Canon City.
