MARY HOLLOWAY Mary Holloway, 62, a teacher at C. W. Woodbury Middle School, passed away April 1, 2009. She was born Sept. 15, 1946, in Bridgeport, Conn., and was a 26-year resident of Nevada.

Mary began teaching in Clark County in 1983 at Kenny C. Guinn Middle School. She then started teaching at Woodbury in 1996, and was actively teaching up until the time she passed.

She brought much joy to those around her and she could easily brighten anyone's day in an instant. Mary was very close to her students and thoroughly enjoyed teaching English.

In 2004, she was acknowledged for excellence as a Distinguished Educator by Who's Who Among America's Teachers.

In her spare time, Mary enjoyed socializing with friends, playing with her three dogs, and watching her favorite TV programs. She also enjoyed staying in touch with friends and family in Connecticut, where she is originally from.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Holloway. Mary is survived by her son, Mark Holloway of Phoenix. Mary's wishes were to not have memorial services.

She is in our thoughts and prayers and her joy will always be felt among us all. There are no words to describe how much Mary will be missed.
