Wife of Robert Broedel (married Feb. 12, 1939 in Oakland, Maryland).
Mother of Thomas, Robert & Ralph Broedel and four grandchildren.
A 1934 graduate of Marietta High School, she worked for the Livestock Farmers Market and was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau. At her death, she was a member of Lynch Church, but for 50+ years prior, she was a faithful and generous member of the Reno Christian Church.
A devoted wife and mother with numerous interests and creative skills, there was little she couldn't figure out how to do....from driving a farm tractor to making homemade lye soap, and she even taught herself how to play piano! In her later years, she traveled extensively to Florida, Alaska, Hawaii, Ireland, and Russia!
Died (widowed) at 87y 9m 4d.
The family received friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., May 14, 2003, at Hadley Funeral Home, Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike Street. Services officiated by the Rev. Brenton C. Dewees were held Thurs., May 15, followed by burial in East Lawn Memorial Park and luncheon at Lynch Church served by the ladies auxiliary. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
