Daughter of Peter Gassman and Agatha Dechant. Mary was born in 1894 even though her gravestone and death record says 1893. Mary and Andrew were married 4 Jun 1912 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Schoenchen, Kansas. All 12 of her children were born to this union. After Andrew's death in 1941 Mary married Jerome Dreher in June of 1946. Jerome and Mary had no children together. Their marriage lasted only a short time.

Mary Rose Dreher, 91, of 3411 E. Zimmerly, homemaker, died Friday. Rosary 1 p.m. Monday, service 2 p.m. Monday, both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ness City.
Survivors: sons, Cyril Pfannenstiel of Wichita, Arthur Pfannenstiel of Bavaria, Eugene Pfannenstiel of Salina; daughters, Eleanor Peitz of Liberal, Rose Barnes of Kansas City, Kan. Mildred Orsbon of Wichita: brothers, Jake Gassman of Longmont, Colo., Fred Gassman of Cheyenne, Wyo.; sisters. Katherine Hammerschmidt of Gorham, Rose Harding of Texas; 41 grandchildren: 66 greatgrandchildren; two great-greandchilden. Cochran Mortuary.
