Funeral services for Thomas Howell Coursey, 57, who died in an Atmore hospital Friday, were held at Wawbeek Sunday, Feb. 13. Mr. Coursey died shortly after being crushed by a cave-in of gravel where he was working, loading gravel onto a truck. He was born in Wilcox County, removing to Canoe at an early age, and has been a resident of Canoe practically all his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hicks, Oak Grove, Fla., Mrs. John Loekwood, Pensacola, Fla., Mrs. William S'lcox, Pace, Fla., Mrs. Warren Webb, Marianna Fla.; one son, Robert Howell Coursey, stationed in Guam, three sisters, Mrs. Walter P. Peavy, Canoe, Mrs. M. D. Leatherwood, Flomaton. and Mrs. John Lindsey, Miami, Fla., and seven grandchildren. Services were conducted at Sar-dis Church, and interment in the church cemetery, Barton-Service, Atmore, in charge of arrangements.
