Mrs. Betty Jo Crouch, was born on Monday, May 16, 1938 the daughter of the late Joe Austell and Mary Margaret Hines Barnes.

Mrs. Crouch died Monday, February 9, 2009 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 70 years 8 months and 24 days.

She was born in Harrisburg and was a lifetime member of the Trumann area. Mrs. Crouch was a retired factory worker of Sanyo Mfg. a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Crouch, three sisters, Glenda Pierce, Martha Rhoads and Lucille Parrish, and one brother Ed Barnes.

Survivors included six sisters, Lola Lesley of Finch, AR, Sue Carter of Elkhart, IN, Wanda Halsey, Kay Rodgers, Frances Battles and Molly Rasdon all of Trumann; two brothers, Jerry Barnes of Batesville, AR and Johnny Barnes of Trumann.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann with Rev. Larry Loggins and Rev. Frank Bufford officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Zac Battles, Dewayne Pierce, Jimmy Pierce, Bo Barnes, Cameron Wright, and Jason Watts. Honorary pallbearers will include Amanda Barnes, Jessica Greer, Vince Adams and Mary Watts.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
