Martha is the daughter of Larkin and Jane Morris Ward. She married William Harrison Henson on March 19, 1885, in Macon County, IL.

Mrs. Martha Hensen, wife of William Hensen, living southwest of Dalton City, died at 10:30 Tuesday morning following a stroke of apoplexy which she suffered Monday. She was born near Elwin, Nov. 16, 1860. Mrs. Hensen was a member of the Methodist church. Besides her husband she leaves two children, Olli Hensen of Prairie Home and Mrs. Pearl Jackson of Dalton City. She also leaves one brother, Henry Ward of St. Louis, two half brothers, A. E. Kendall of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and George Kendall, whose address is unknown, and one half sister, Mrs. Nettie Kirk of Cedar Point, Ia. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

The funeral of Mrs. Martha Henson was held Thursday at the family residence near Dalton City. The services were conducted by Rev. M. C. Cockrum. Many friends attended the services. The music was furnished by Miss Fay Draper, Miss Mabel Roney, J. J. Freeland and Frank Kennedy. The flowers were in charge of Misses Goldie Smith, Maude Sinclair, Luella Kennedy and Beryl Kennedy. The pallbearers were John Roney, Frank Kennedy, William Craycroft, Wilbur Hill, Grant Cole and William Ekiss. The interment was in the Boiling Springs cemetery.
