Mrs. Hughes, 80, died Monday in the Columbus Community Hospital.
She lies in state after 4:30 p.m. today at Gass-Haney Funeral Home and until noon Wednesday, then from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church.
Daughter of Michael and Catherine (Dryer) Nansel, she was born March 18, 1899 in the Watsville community near Monroe, She attended O'Kay school and married Stanley Hughes on March 18, 1920 in Columbus and he survives.
She lived in Postville and O'Kay communities, moving to Columbus in 1959. She was a member of the Highland Park Evangelical Free Church and the church Missionary Circle. Memorials are suggested to the Highland Park Evangelical Free Church or the Columbus Library.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, John and Dorothy Weber of Monroe, Robert and Phyllis Wareham of Fremont, Calif: two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Margaret Hughes of Monroe, Carroll and Jean Hughes of Quency, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ora Nansel, Cayucos, Calif., Carl and Floyd Nansel, both of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Keeler of Ocala, Fla.
She was preceded by her parents; and infant child; and infant grandson; grandson, Keith Hughes; two brothers, Harry Nansel of Columbus and Vernon Nansel of Genoa; a sister, Gertrude Nansel of Monroe.
