Jerome Henry Abercrombie, 79 of 620 Tanglewood Drive, Seneca, died Saturday, May 27, at Mission St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in Asheville, N. C.

Born in Asheville, he was the son of the late Joel Leonard and Viola Naomi Elizabeth Talley Abercrombie. Mr. Abercrombie was a World War II Army Veteran, the maintenance superintendent for Jantzen, Inc. for almost 25 years and member of the First Baptist Church in Walhalla. He was also a member of Walhalla Masonic Lodge and Blue Ridge Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae Moody Abercrombie of the home; a daughter, Rosa Elaine Abercrombie Davis of Seneca; and three grandsons.

Services were held at the Seneca Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, May 30, at 3 p.m. with the Reverends James H. Mizell and Donald L. Vaughn officiating. Visitation was Monday, May 29, from 7 until 9 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial followed at Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca.
