Tony Acton, son of the late Dewayne B. Acton and Shirley Ann DeArman Acton, was born on Jan. 20, 1961 in Dexter and died in the Herrin Hospital at Herrin, Ill. on March 24, 2009, at the age of 48.

Mr. Acton was a resident of Dexter along with survivors which include his step-mother, Betty Acton of Dexter; three brothers, Randy and Rick Acton, both of Dexter and Terry Acton of College Station, Texas; three step-brothers, Ronnie, Don, and Rick Reynolds, all of Dexter; five sisters, Roxanna Reynolds of Essex, Rosalie Howe and Rhonda Anderson, both of Kirksville, and Rita Summers of Jefferson City, and Sherry Moore of Dexter; also by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8p.m. Thursday March 26, 2009.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Ed Stoner officiating.

Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield.
