OBITUARY: Dolen Lester Bowen, 67, of Las Vegas, Passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009. He was born March 31, 1941, in Jasper, VA., and was a 58-year resident of Nevada. Dolen attended Mineral County High School in Hawthorne, Nev. His love in life was Harley motorcycles, music, painting and cooking, which led him to his lifelong career as a chef. He worked in the gaming food industry for 40 years throughout the State of Nevada, with the majority of the time in Las Vegas. Dolen was preceded in death by his father, William Bowen; and stepfather, Theodore Galotta. He is survived by his mother, Loretta Galotta of Fremont, Calif.; two sons, Glen Bowen of Livermore, Calif., and Aaron Bowen of Los Angeles; two grandchildren, Kellen Bowen and Scarlette; one sister, Marlene Fries of Hayward, Calif.; four brothers, Lomas Bowen of Shelbyville, Tenn., William Bowen of Rio Vista, Calif., Carmine Galotta of Fremont, Calif., and Michael Galotta of Diablo Grande, Calif.
