Wallace E. Hart, 79, 424 E. South St., Coldwater, died at 11:20 p.m. Feb. 28, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born May 12, 1923, in Ralls County, Mo., to Morris V. and Margaret Hulse Hart. On June 17, 1944, he married Aleene Lynes who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jack (Karen) of Celina; a sister, June Vandiver, Peculiar, Mo.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was an officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired from the Air Force Reserve as a lieutenant colonel. He also worked at the former Pet Milk Co. in Coldwater and sold life insurance.
He was a graduate of Missouri University, a member, of Coldwater United Methodist Church, past commander of Coldwater American Legion Post 470, former member of the Coldwater Jaycees and longtime trustee for Buckeye Boys State.
Services are 10:30 a.m.Wednesday at the church, the Rev. James R. Sager officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, with the American Legion conducting military rites.
