Nancy Walker Chase, 80, formerly of Rosenberg/Richmond, passed away Oct. 13, 2003 in Lampasas, from complications with Alzheimer's Disease. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at the First United Methodist Church in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Nancy was born July 21, 1923 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to James and Nancy Bell Walker. She married Ron Chase June 27, 1948 in Los Fresnos. They were members of the First United Methodist Church in Rosenberg for many years. Nancy attended TWU in Denton, and many years later, graduated from the University of Houston in 1973 with a degree in Interior Design. She owned and operated NWC Interiors for several years in Richmond. In later years, she owned and operated Nancy's Candies. Nancy was widowed in 1945, when her first husband, William St. Pierre, was killed in China in a marine aircraft accident. She was also preceded in death by both of her parents, and her brothers Lester and David Walker. Mrs. Chase is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ron Chase of Lampasas. Other survivors are her son Bill Chase of Rosenberg; daughters Carolyn Chase and husband Bob, of Round Rock; Barbara Fratto and husband John, of Lewisville; and Linda Nichols and husband Rob, of Kingsland; grandchildren, Clint, Dane, and Brent Chase; Christina and Stephanie Fratto; and great-grandson Hunter Chase also survive her. Also surviving are brothers Jim Walker of Sacramento, Calif.; and Bob Walker of Naples, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003 at Dodson Funeral Home, 1003 S. Key Ave. in Lampasas. Special thanks to the staffs of Spring Oaks Terrace Nursing Home and Rollins Brook Hospital for the tender, loving care they provided.
