Arlene R. Kanagy, 70, formerly of Newport, PA, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, in Stonebridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon, PA.
She was born December 4, 1938, in Lewisberry, PA, the daughter of G. Edward and Esther (Potteiger) Newmyer.
Arlene was a former Registered Nurse for the State.
She is survived by her children, Timothy Kanagy of Ickesburg, PA, Roy Kanagy of Belleville, PA, and Rebecca Kanagy of Duncannon; 2 grandsons, Timothy Weidenhof, Jr., and Jared Kanagy; 2 brothers, Edward Newmyer of York Haven, PA, and David Newmyer of Palmyra, PA.
Services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009, at 2 p.m., in the Stone & Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland, PA, with the Reverend William Fetrow officiating. Interment will be in Crossroads Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
