Etta first married Thomas P. Scott about 1908 in TX. She was his 2nd wife as his 1st wife had died and left him with 2 small children. His little son died in 1903, but he still had his little daughter, Dollye, whom Etta lovingly raised. There was a great bond between the two.
After Thomas Scott died in 1927, Etta married Turner S. Rollins. He passed away in 1945 and she laid him to rest in the Abilene cemetery.
However when Etta died in 1958, her step-daughter, Dollye, laid her next to her first husband, Thomas P. Scott. That accounts for the unusual inscription on their tombstone.
