Services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Avey Funeral Home for Walter H. Lasson, 87, of 707 Woodbury St., who died at this home Tuesday. The Rev. Kenneth Dean will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Born June 17, 1891, in Garwin, he was the son of John and Elizabeth (Mueller) Lasson. He married Pearl Nicholson Dec 24, 1974.
A resident of Marshalltown since 1911, he belonged to the Senior Citizens and the Wildlife Club. His occupation was heating and air conditioning.
Surviving are two sons, William H., Ft. Worth, TX., and Leon, of Chiefland, FL.; a sister, Mrs. Wanda Markey of Marshalltown; a half brother, William Lasson, Tulsa, OK.; and seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, three sisters and three brothers.
