Charles Earl Baccus Sr., age 67, died March 25, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Florence Baccus; daughters, Linda Franklin (David), Sheila Dunnaway (Donald), Teresa Baccus; sons, Thomas "Frank" Baccus (Teresa), Robert "B.J." Baccus (Brenda), Charles "Chuck" Baccus Jr. (Anita); sisters, Roberta Tuggle, Betty Sanders, Lenora Narmour, Joyce Robins; brothers, Wallace Baccus, James "Jim" Baccus, Joe Baccus, Jack Baccus; 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Baccus and Annie Belle Beasley Baccus; brother, Robert Baccus.
He was married for 50 years; served two tours in Vietnam and served a total of 12 years in the U.S. Air Force. He loved being a truck driver.
Services were held Saturday, March 29, at 11 a.m. at New Haven Baptist Church in Ashville with burial in St. Clair Springs Baptist Cemetery in Springville. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directed.
