MRS. SUSAN CROSS DIES AT HARPSTER

HARPSTER, May 4 - Mrs. Susan Jane Cross, 84, wife of Lewis Cross, died yesterday at 2:30 p.m. of complications, at her home here. She has been ill three weeks.
Mrs. Cross was born Dec. 25, 1849, in Pickaway County to Frederick and Elizabeth Bechtell Walters. Her marriage to Mr. Cross took place July 31, 1865.
Surviving her are her husband, eight children, Andrew Cross of near Upper Sandusky, Mrs. W.H. Rice of Toledo, Mrs. O.T. Pierman of Morral, Bert Cross of Toledo, Mrs. Edith Bender, Mrs. Bernice Handy, Mrs. Alton Seiple of Harpster and James Cross of near Harpster, 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Frone Will of Grand Rapids, Mich. The family came to Harpster about 50 years ago.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the M.E.church here, with Rev. A.E. Grant officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery near Upper Sandusky. Grandsons of Mrs. Cross will act as pall bearers. Friends may call at the home.
