Margaret N. Moyer, 100, Rome, N.Y., died Sunday in New York. She was born in Creekside, Pa., daughter of the late James and Mina (Nye) Patterson. She married Clifford T. Moyer Jan. 25, 1939, in Indiana, Pa. He died in 1977. Surviving are a daughter, Marian Thompson and husband, Paul, of Rome, N.Y.; a son, Irving "Butch" Moyer and wife, Shirley, of Martinsburg; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Ellen and Adeline; and a brother, William. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center, N.Y., where she was a member of the church's Women's Club. Margaret formerly was employed at the Roaring Spring Department Store. She was educated in the South Fork, Pa., schools. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday by Pastor James Beach. Interment will be made at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg. Contributions in Margaret's memory may be given to Morrisons Cove Baptist Church.
