Transferred to hospital in Chester Pennsylvania July 13, 1863. Paroled at Chester on an unspecified date. Received at City Point, Virginia, September 23, 1863, for exchange. Returned to duty on an unspecified date. Wounded in the breast and left arm at Wilderness, Virginia, May 5, 1864. Left arm amputated. Died at Staunton, Virginia May 30, 1864 of wounds.
