LEWIS CROSS DIES AT HARPSTER HOME

HARPSTER, O., Dec. 8-- Lewis Cross, 92, died Monday night at his home in Harpster after a 10 day illness of infirmities of age. He was born in Maryland on Jan. 24, 1845, and was married in 1866 to Susan Jane Walters. They had nine children, surviving of whom are Andrew of near Upper Sandusky, Mrs. W.H. Rice and Bert Cross of Toledo, Mrs O.J. Pierman of Morral and Mrs. Edith Bender, Mrs. Bernice Handy, Mrs. Alton Seiple and James Cross of Harpster. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Cross was a retired farmer. The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Harpster Community church, followed by burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
