John S Swallows, 74, native of Cumberland County, died at Lakeland, Florida Thursday, November 19. He had been a resident of Orlando for the past 22 years.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at Fisk and Journigan Funeral Home, St Cloud, Fl with burial in Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee, Fl.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Lora L Swallows, Orlando; one son, Levi, Deland, Fl; 2 daughters, Mrs Joe Overstreet, Kissimmee, Fl; Mrs Glenn Drummond, Orlando, Fl; one brother, Virgil, Kissimmee, Fl; 5 sisters, Mrs Laurie Hale, Mrs Sophia Martin, Mrs Mary McMahon, Mrs Wilcie Taylor, all of St Cloud, Fl; Mrs Ida Simmons, Dalton, Ga.
Mr Swallows was a member and past commander of the St Cloud American Legion Post. He was the first president of the Volusia County Cattlemen's Association.
