James Douglas Wynn

James Douglas Wynn, 62, Salisbury, died Friday (Aug. 27, 1999) at his residence, after a short illness.

Born Dec. 31, 1936, in Calvin, Va., Mr. Wynn was a son of the late Gertrude Marie Frazier and Curtis Wynn. A graduate of the public schools of Appalachia, Va., he had retired from the automobile industry.

He was a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nita Grubb; sons James "Jimmie" D. Wynn Jr. and Gary Keith Wynn, both of Big Stone, Va.; daughters Yvonne Wynn Gardner and Danielle Lee Wynn, both of Big Stone Gap, Va.; stepson Jeffrey David Grubb, Salisbury; and five grandchildren.

Services:2 p.m. Sunday, Bible Missionary Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Buddy Hoffner, pastor. Burial, Rowan Memorial Park.

Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. tonight, Lyerly Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the residence.
