OLLIE MUNSON KILLED LAST THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

The people of Brunswick and vicinity were deeply shocked last Thursday afternoon by the news of a distressing and fatal accident which resulted in the death of Ollie Munson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Munson, of southeast of town, and one of this community's best known and most respected young men.
Ollie had gone out hunting with a single-barrel shotgun and had been away from home only a short time when the accident occurred. Children of the neighborhood, on their way home from school, discovered the body and rushed to their homes to tell their parents. Louis and Andrew Johnson and other neighbors hurried to the scene and found Ollie's body hanging upon the barbed wire of a fence which he had attempted to crawl through. The gun lay on the ground nearby, and a gaping wound near the heart showed that the charge from the weapon had entered his body at close range, and had caused instant death. It was plain that he had discharged the gun accidentally in attempting to climb through the wire fence.
The body was removed to the home of Ollie's parents and Dr. A. W. Zillman requested Dr. H. E. Tatum of Brunswick to take charge of the body. After viewing the body and the scene of the accident, Dr. Tatum decide the shooting was purely accidental, and that an inquest was not necessary.
Ollie W. Munson was born near Brunswick Dec. 25, 1887, and was 31 years old last Christmas Day. All his life was spent in the vicinity of his birth, where he was known as one of the most upright and deserving young men of the community. Strictly, honest and square in his dealings, gentlemanly in his conduct, devoted to his home and parents, and kind and considerate to those about him, he had the friendship and the confidence of the entire community in which he lived. During the recent war he was called to the military service and spent about six months in training, after which he received an honorable discharge from the service. Ollie become a member of the Lutheran church in 1905, by confirmation, and remained a faithful member of that church till his death. He is survived by his parents and one brother, Frank E. Munson, and a host of sorrowing friends who mourn his loss.
Funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. F. G. Walther, at 2:00 o'clock last Saturday afternoon and burial was in the Munson graveyard near the family home.
