Rev. George W. Kelley, 82, Altoona, died Tues., Feb. 24, 2009 at home. He was born in Altoona to George & Esther (Bryan) Kelley. He married S. Jane Moore, Nov. 21, 1953, in Altoona. Survived by wife; son, Dwight Kelley (Debbie), Irvona; and brother, Sheldon Kelley, Melbourne, FL. Predeceased by brothers: Max and Jack Kelley and San Bryan; sisters: Joyce Schaeffer, formerly Florida, Sara Jane Hamilton, formerly Hollidaysburg, and Vera Dean, formerly St. Petersburg, Fla. He was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Rev. Kelley retired in 1990 as a guidance counselor and social studies teacher from Penn Cambria High School after 25 years of service. He was a 1944 graduate of Altoona High School, graduate of Beaver Falls College, graduate of IUP with a master's degree and of Philadelphia Theological Seminary. Rev. Kelley was an Air Force veteran of WWII. He enjoyed preaching, wildlife and family. Stevens Mortuary, Altoona, Pa. Committal, Alto Reste Park.
