P.A. Walker, a well known citizen of Dodsonville who had made his home in that section for many years, dropped dead Saturday shortly after he had entered the doctor's office in the Malone Drug Store. Mr. Walker had been in apparently good health, but was not feeling well Saturday and had gone to the doctor's office for examination.

His death came as a great shock to the people of Dodsonville where he was held in high esteem by the citizenship.

Mr. Walker was 54 years, 1 month and 22 days of age when death occurred, having been born November 19, 1875. He is survived by the widow and six children, all of the home were present at the funeral services which were conducted Monday, January 13, from the Methodist Church in Dodsonville, with Sam A. Thomas and H.Z. West, officiating. Interment was made in the Dodsonville cemetery.

Active pallbearers at the funeral services were N.L. Wesson, E.J. Smith, B.C. Finley, Paul Crawford, J.G. Nisbett and Dewey Malone. Honorary pallbearers were E.H. Dodson, C.M. Cornelius, E.W. Bennett, R.J. Holland, Fred Boyd, L.A. Rollings and Z.O. McKinney.

Besides the citizenship of Dodsonville, many people from all surrounding towns crowded the church to pay their last respects to the memory of the estimable man, whose death was not only untimely but which came as a severe shock to his family and friends.
