My granddad was an amazing man, a man of honor, a man of integrity and a man of outstanding work ethic.

He was one of several men I could count on and depend upon. He had an amazing sense of humor.

I was truly blessed to have had him in my life.

He entered the Army Air Corps September, 1942; received training at Enid Army Flying School, Oklahoma and later was sent to Altus, Oklahoma to complete his instruction; was given an honorable discharge.

While working on an airplane a big gust of wind blew him off the plane, he fell and broke his back. It was thought he would never walk again, however, through his hard work and determination he beat the odds and was able to walk again.

Throughout his life he provided for his family as a farmer, an airplane mechanic and auto mechanic where he specialized in air conditioning.

He enjoyed tinkering in his workshop, bowling, watching westerns and talking about family history.

Granddad, I love and miss you so very much.
