Mr. J. W. Willis, father of Mr. T. J. Willis, president of the Willis Grocery Company of this city, died at his home about 6 miles south of Meigs Saturday afternoon at six o'clock. About two weeks ago, Mr. Willis was struck while at work in his field with paralysis and steadily grew worse until the end came Saturday afternoon. He was 58 years old and is survived by his widow and seven children.
The funeral services were held at Macedonia church Sunday morning, Rev. W. M. Davis officiating. Interment was at the Macedonia cemetery.
He is survived by his widow and the following children: Mr. T. J. Willis of this city, Mr. I. L . Willis, of Fowlstown, Messrs J. L. and R. P. Willis of Meigs, and Mr. Almon and Miss Lillie Willis who were residing with their parents.
