Final rites for Almond Willis were held at Macedonia Baptist Church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Roger Bass officiating assisted by the Rev. W. T. Cain. Active pallbearers were James Willis, Winston Willis, Weldon Willis, W. W. Willis, J. F. Willis and T. F. Willis.
He died Sunday in Howard Hospital, Pelham. He had lived all of life and was born here Nov. 8, 1895. He and his wife, the former Ethel Rigsby, have three sons and four daughters. He was a member of Macedonia Church and was engaged in farming.
Surviving are his widow, sons, George,and Jasper, Pelham, Brim, Moultrie; daughters, Mrs. Russell Taylor, Haines City, Fla; Mrs. H. R. White, Barnesville; Mrs. Hubert Massey, Cairo and Miss Ester Willis, Pelham; a brother, Dan Willis, Pelham. Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery with Braswell Funeral Home, Pelham, in charge.
