John Roland Cannon Jr., 30, of Finley, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a welder for Systems Contracting, a Baptist, former lieutenant with the Dyer County Sheriff's Department, and an avid fisherman and NASCAR fan.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon White Cannon of Finley; two daughters, Emma Cannon and Savannah Heathcott, both of Finley; his mother, Pamela Diane McKee of Lenox; his father and stepmother, John Roland Cannon Sr. and Beverly Cannon of Henning; two sisters, Kim Dew and Christian McKee, both of Lenox; a brother, Adam Cannon of Ripley; his grandmother, Laura Cannon of Henning; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Rose White of Finley.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Herman Cannon and Paul and Dorothy Newman.
Pallbearers will be Heath Walker, Lynn Waller, Alan Fair, Adam Fisher, Kenny Gibbons, Shaun Crouch, Rick Gregory and Bill French. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Cannon, Gary Cannon and Ashley Newman.
