Joel Scott Parrish, 48, of Warrenton died Saturday, Feb. 14 at Granville Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 at Blaylock Funeral Home chapel in Warrenton by the Rev. Aubrey Florence. Burial was in Warren Dale Cemetery.

Mr. Parrish was a Richmond, Va. native born to Johnny Floyd Parrish and Jeanette Rudd Parrish Walters. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Alan Parrish.

Mr. Parrish was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and was a master brick and stone mason.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie King Parrish; his mother, Jeannette Rudd Parrish Walters of Fairmont; and a brother, Frank Parrish of Smithfield, Va.

Pallbearers were Roger Owen, Tim Boone, Casy Orr, Ricky King, Tom Stegall and Charles Duncan.
