Colonel Thomas Francis Goode was the son of Thomas & Mary Ann (Knox) Goode, and Husband of Rosa Cowles (Chambers) Goode. He served several terms in the Virginia House of Delegates. His portrait is in The Mecklenburg County Court House in Boydton, Virginia. During the Civil War he served under General Jeb Stuart, the famous cavalry raider of the Confederate Army.
