William Haywood Holt, pioneer of Alamance county, passed away at his home on North Main street Sunday at 5pm. Mr. Holt was 75yrs of age, a retired merchant of Graham and his death came unexpectedly. In his younger days Mr. Holt was an active and interested worker in the county as well as in his home town. In addition to his wife, he left two daughters, Mrs. W.A.Wood of Wilmington & Mrs. W.H.Wiley of Charlotte; 3 sons, J.S. & W.J. & M.E. Holt, all of Greensboro; also 3 brothers, E.C. & S.B. Holt of Indianapolis & Isaac Holt of Graham.
The Ella of the obit was 2nd wife - his first wife is Ledosa Jane Thompson.
I tracked him & Ledosa Jane thru the census - in 1910, he is alone & in 1920, he has remarried. Both marriage records are on FamilySearch.
